Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m Melissa Sheridan, a wife, mom, coffee and design lover. You can learn more about me here.
Bee Sweet started as I realized I wanted to pursue not just one but two of my passions in life: photography and blog design.
I have been working with blog design for my personal blog for over four years. I am completely self-taught and love creating beautiful images, using fun fonts, and digging into the code to make a design exactly how I want it to look.
Photography is a recent passion of mine. Ever since I had my daughter, Claire, I realized I wanted to capture all her beautiful moments before they quickly slipped away. I got my DSLR, a Sony Alpha 3000, a few months before she was born so I could take my own newborn photos of her.

I’ve been in love with photography ever since. Since then, I have worked with numerous families to capture their memories to cherish for years to come.
For photography, I work with natural light only. I prefer outdoor photos to anything but do consider indoor events for weddings and parties. I love to focus on just one piece of the image as a whole and capture it with crisp detail, to showcase the feeling or mood of that particular moment. I love light, using filters for added effect, and black & white. I am particularly fond of working with babies and young children.
For design, I believe that all bloggers should have access to amazing design and that every time you log onto your site the only feeling you should have about your design is pure joy. I want to give clients a design that not only captures who they are and what their blog is about, but showcase a look that their viewers will enjoy as well. I believe in white space, beautiful fonts, and organized, clean designs.
This business is not something I view as a job, but a way to play with my passions every day. My “work” is one of the most exciting and rewarding things I do in life. There’s no greater joy than giving a client photos or design that takes their breath away. I truly love what I do!
